In 2003, St. George and the dragon returned to the 4 coin gold sovereign sets, after the special reverse design for the Golden Jubilee in 2002.

We received our first delivery of the 4 coin gold sets on Tuesday 15th April.

Issue Limits
For 2001, the issue limit was only 1,000. The issue limits for 2002 were increased considerably to 2,500 because of the Golden Jubilee celebrations. The limits for 2003 are 2,250 sets.

Design News
In previous years the 3 coin and 4 coin sovereign collections have usually contained all coins of the same design, however in a number of years, the two pound coin included with the sets has been the commemorative version instead. For 2003, there is a change. The three coin sets contain the commemorative two pound, while the four coin sets contain the St. George and Dragon version.
