In previous years our first shipment has arrived direct from the Royal Mint as early as January 6th, but this year the official release date was been delayed slightly, we received our first delivery on Friday 17th January.

Proofs Now Released
The 2003 proof sovereigns have now been released, and we have them in stock for immediate delivery.

Highest Ever Sterling Gold Price
Writing this on March 17th 2008 gold has just reached its' highest ever gold price in Sterling. Obviously this affects the price of our gold products so we have had to increase our uncirculated sovereign prices accordingly. The prices shown below are semi-fixed but should gold fluctuate dramatically in either direction we may have to adjust the prices once again.

Issue Limits
For 2000, the issue limit was only 250,000, the lowest bullion sovereign mintage for over 120 years. For 2001, the issue limit was set even lower at a maximum of 100,000. We now know the issue limits for 2003 will be only 100,000 the same as last year.

Year 2003 Gold Sovereigns

Two Versions:-
Year 2003 gold sovereigns are being produced by the mint in two versions, ordinary uncirculated "bullion" grade, and "proofs" for sale to collectors.

Proof Version
We have now received our first delivery, and have stocks for immediate delivery.

Uncirculated "Bullion" Version
This will be only the fourth time since 1982 that ordinary bullion sovereigns have been produced. As with the millennium year, we expect these new sovereigns to be very popular.
The issue limit for year 2000 was set at 250,000. This was the lowest mintage figure, apart from proof versions, for over 100 years. The limit for 2001 and 2002 was even lower at only 100,000 of each year.
We now know the Royal Mint's issue limit will be only 100,000 for 2003.
For 2003 the official Royal Mint issue price is £79.95, our prices represent a saving, as usual, and we have quantity discounts available.
