2005 Tenth Ounce Britannia Proofs
Each year the Royal Mint issue a number of tenth ounce gold proof Britannias. The tenth ounce gold Britannias have a face value of £10, yet they sell for less than the price of a proof half sovereign, making them an attractive alternative as a gift. They are also an attractive coin, and have a lower mintage than proof half sovereigns, making them interesting for collectors.
Gold Britannias, including proofs, are often released quite late in the year, about August. We are now waiting for our first delivery which we are expecting in June.
