2007 Britannia Proof Sets
Release Date July 2007
The proof Britannia gold sets are usually released each year in August or later. This year we have received our first delivery during July.
Britannia proof sets have been issued every year since 1987.
As at 1st December 2007, we are able to offer reduced prices as shown below.
New Design for 2007
The reverse of the gold Britannia is a new design for 2007. Royal Artist, Christopher Le Brun has created a new image of Britannia seated with a lion by her side. The image of Britannia is similar to that on the Victorian farthings.
The coins in the sets have on the obverse the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley, approved for use on United Kingdom coins from 1998.
Bullion Britannia
The Royal Mint have also produced an uncirculated version this year. We have put them on their own page 2007 Gold Bullion Britannias. The first bullion Britannia to be released since 2003. Now available in all four sizes.
