At the time of writing (September 2008) the majority of bullion dealers are struggling to source one ounce bullion Krugerrands. We believe there are a couple of reasons for this; the first being that physical demand for gold appears to have increased this year; and secondly due to the August slowdown.
Due to the increased demand one of our suppliers - a major European bank - ordered 10,000 Krugerrands from the South African Mint, so far they have only received 2,000 coins from this order.
They expect to receive the second part of this shipment towards the end of October, which is when we expect to receive our first shipment.

Not since the Year 2000

This will be the first time since the year 2000 that we will have been able to source one ounce bullion Krugerrands in the year that they were minted. In fact we still haven't seen bullion Krugerrands for the years 2005-2007 inclusive.
