Because different world mints vary considerably in their timing and methods of releasing information, and communication generally, this page should be considered to be in development until 2012 at the earliest. Some of the links from this page may also be in development until sometime in 2012.
2012 - A Special Year
2012 will be an important year for the Royal Mint. Not only will it be completing its 3 year cycle of 2012 London Olympic coins, but 2012 also marks the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, 60 years of her reign. The last time we had a diamond jubilee was in 1897 for Queen Victoria.
We can probably expect at least two gold £5 crowns, a possible change of obverse design for all coins, an special single-year design for gold sovereigns, Britannias, and perhaps a few other surprises.
2012 Pricing Information
Because of the significant increases in gold bullion prices during recent years, the prices of most newly released 2012 gold coins will be higher than those of 2011.
Some collectors and investors will be unhappy about having to pay more for their new coins, but a more practical approach may be to buy older issues which, in most cases, are still at or below their original issue prices. We correctly predicted a 2012 Diamond Jubilee Crown and also a new design for the Sovereign.

A new St. George and the Dragon design to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

2012 Gold Bullion (Uncirculated) Britannias.
The 2012 Britannia is reverting back to the classic standing Britannia design by Nathan Philips. In stock early November 2011.
2012 Crown.
With a face value of £5 (five pounds), this may be issued in base metal, silver proof, and gold proof versions.
This year's £5 crown commemorates the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Britannia Proof Sets
Of all 4 weights. This year's Britannias will have another one-off design. Usually released about August.
2012 Proof Quarter Ounce Britannias.
A good alternative to the proof sovereign. Usually released about August.
2012 Proof Tenth Ounce Britannias.
Lower priced than the proof half sovereign. Usually released about August.
World Issues
U.S.
For the fifth year now the U.S. are issuing two one ounce gold coins, we will have the 2012 Eagles in stock later and also expect the 2012 Buffalos in stock during 2012.
Australia
We will have 2012 Australian Gold Nuggets and the 2012 Year of the Dragon Gold Coins. As we are now prime distributors for the Perth Mint in Australia we receive our stock of the next years' issues in the Autumn of the previous year. This year we can offer the Australian large bullion coins, gold nuggets in sizes of 2 ounce, 10 ounce, and 1 kilogramme, as well as the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz.
China
2012 Chinese Gold Pandas all sizes, from 1oz to 1/20oz, we expect to receive our first delivery in January.
