2007 Gold Coins
We started this page in March 2005, to provide advance and current information about 2007 dated gold coins.
Because different world mints vary considerably in their timing and methods of releasing information, and communication generally, this page should be considered to be in development until 2007 at the earliest. Some of the links from this page may also be in development until late 2007 or early 2007.

2007 Pricing Information
Because of the significant increases in gold bullion prices during 2006, the prices of most newly released 2007 gold coins will be higher than those of 2006.
Some collectors and investors will be unhappy about having to pay more for their new coins, but a more practical approach may be to buy older issues which, in most cases, are still at or below their original issue prices. UK Issues

  • 2007 Sovereigns. These will revert to the traditional St. George and Dragon reverse.
    We are accepting advance orders, and expect deliveries to commence in early January.
  • 2007 Half Sovereigns. As for the sovereigns.
  • The 2007 Crown. With a face value of £5 (five pounds), this may be issued in base metal, silver proof, and gold proof versions for the Queen and Prince Philip's 60th (diamond) wedding anniversary.
  • Two different £2 coins to commemorate the Tercentenary of Union of England and Scotland, and the Bicentenary of the Abolition of Slavery..
  • Tercentenary of Union of England and Scotland - Sold out at the Mint! Extremely limited availability!
  • Abolition of Slavery £2, 1807 - 2007.
  • Be Prepared for a Fifty Pence coin to commemorate the centenary (100th anniversary) of the Scouting movement founded in 1907 by Baden Powell. - Expected mid March.
  • 3 coin gold sovereign proof set.
  • 4 coin set sovereign set
    All four of the coins are of the St. George & Dragon design.
  • Britannia Proof Sets of all 4 weights.
    This year's Britannias are expected to have another one-off design. Usually released about August.
  • 2007 Gold Bullion (Uncirculated) Britannias.
    The first bullion Britannia to be released since 2003. Now available in all four sizes.
  • 2007 Proof Quarter Ounce Britannias.
    A good alternative to the proof sovereign. Usually released about August.
  • 2007 Proof Tenth Ounce Britannias.
    Lower priced than the proof half sovereign. Usually released about August.

    World Issues

    U.S.
    For the second year now the U.S. are issuing two one ounce gold coins, we have the 2007 Eagles in stock now and were expecting the 2007 Buffalos in stock towards the end of January 2007. These suffered a production delay, but were released in late February. We have bought our first batch, and have them in stock now.

    Australia
    We already have 2007 Australian Gold Nuggets and 2007 Year of the Pig Gold Coins in stock now! As we are now prime distributors for the Perth Mint in Australia we receive our stock of the next years' issues in the Autumn of the previous year. This year we can offer the Australian large bullion coins, gold nuggets in sizes of 2 ounce, 10 ounce, and 1 kilogramme, as well as the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz.

    In the event that the official Royal Mint price is lower than ours, we will refund the difference.
