Copyright Theft
Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.
Fox Valley Coins
Fox Valley Coins of Napierville and Aurora, Illinois, USA, owned by Marlon Mathre, are just one of the many coin dealers worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission. On their page http://www.foxvalleycoins.biz/coinspecials.htm, which we partially reproduce here, they are clearly using our Krugerrand obverse image.
They may think it is clever to have changed the background colour, or may think that this creates a new image which is not subject to our copyright, ot that we would not recognise our image, but they are wrong on any or all of these counts. It is quite easy to change the background colour using software such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop.
