1994 South Africa Presidential Inauguration Gold Medallion
A one ounce South African commemorative medallion celebrating the inauguration of Nelson Mandela and the end of Apartheid.
In 1994, following the first ever free elections held in post-apartheid South Africa, Nelson Mandela was elected president, four years after he had been released from prison by his predecessor FW de Klerk. This medallion commemorates a monumental event, not only in South African, but also world history.
