2009 Britannia Proof Sets
Design for 2009
The 2009 issue has reverted back to the Chariot design last seen in 1999.
The coins in the sets have on the obverse the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley, approved for use on United Kingdom coins from 1998.
Release Date July 2009
The proof Britannia gold sets are usually released each year in August or later. This year we have received our first delivery during July.
Britannia proof sets have been issued every year since 1987.
